Bad agents deserve bad press

Censorship bothers me. Folks who pull strings to censor their critics bother me even more, for some reason. Perhaps it’s because I expect censorship from authority figures but would like to believe the common man is above it.

Alas, no. Teresa Nielsen-Hayden informs us that evil agent Barbara Bauer has managed to scare an ISP into taking down an important writers’ resource site, Absolute Write. Read about it here.

In a show of solidarity, I am linking to the Twenty Worst Agencies list posted by the SFWA.  Writers have to stick together to fend off the predators around them. These folks are unscrupulous and evil con artists who prey upon the hopes of aspiring and accomplished writers.
